SLF operates across 22 sites in France, covering a total of 34 hectares, including 13 hectares of covered space.

Heat Recovery from Compressors (up to 589 kWth):

  • 80% gas savings on the water-based paint line.
  • 30% des bureaux chauffés (soit 700 m²)

Transition from Fossil Fuels

Electrification and Optimization of Equipment Fleet:

  • Since January 1, 2022, every request to renew mobile equipment (e.g., forklifts) is assessed based on two key criteria: fleet electrification and reduced transport needs.

Circular Economy

Recycle : Foundries as Recycling Industries 80% of raw materials used in SLF’s three foundries consist of new industrial scrap (steel). Reuse : LOOP Project Since late 2022, Soval (distribution subsidiary for water and road infrastructure) offers clients a service to recover old cast iron road fittings for direct reintegration into the melting process, without prior transformation. Reduce : Eco design The R&D department focuses on material and weight optimization in new developments or tooling renewals. Example: 1,425 tons of material savings between 2019 and 2022.

Health and Safety

Prevention – Protecting employee health.
Example: Use of passive exoskeletons (non-motorized) and ongoing improvement plans for fume extractors

Support – Training employees in life-saving techniques.

Our First Aid Responders (SST) receive regular training in emergency procedures.
16% of employees are SST certified, double the national average (source: SSF).
We are actively pursuing a policy to accelerate the number of SST-trained volunteers over the next five years.

Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QVCT)A group ergonomist is dedicated to studying and improving workplace movements and postures.
Promoting workplace camaraderie and community through open house events, social gatherings, and offsite sports challenges.
